Sad News; Cape Coast Teaching Hospital Floods as a result of Heavy downpour
The Cape Coast Teaching Hospital has been been flooded after 6 hours of heavy downpour. The COVID-19 Treatment Centre and some various wards have been affected by the flood.
Most homes in the central region has also been flooded as a result of this heavy downpour leaving many residents stranded.
The Public Relations Officer of the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, Frederick Nyankah, has assured the general public that the situation was under control.
According to him, the affected patients had been moved to a holding bay whiles cleaners are working to restore services at the hospital.
Some houses and schools were not also spared, teachers had to result to closing schools earlier than the normal hours. The Deputy Central Regional National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) Director, Francis Ekow Amponsah, said a team has been deployed to the various houses to rescue those stuck in their homes.
